3.01.2018__________ Festive journey to "The Art of Calligraphy" Rare Books Department began December 27 with an interesting book review on the topic "Art of Calligraphy". This event was prepared by the library at the request of a Journalism faculty teacher as a gift for his son Artem’s birthday, a future student. 38 rare and modern editions devoted to individual artistic compositions, calligraphic styles from household handwritten inscriptions on postcards to high art were presented tо the attention of young guests of the library. The editions of the 18th and 20th centuries gave great impression. The visitors were interested in the third volume of the book “Natural History of Birds” written by a French naturalist of the 18th century. J.-L Buffon, the Estonian edition "Modern Font" by V. Tooms and the local lore literature of the 20th century.
