27.11.2019_________ On November 22, a regular meeting was held at the Women's Academy club. It was dedicated to Petrykivka painting. Tatyana Pronina, a teacher of the art school, was the guest of the club. She demonstrated her works and held a small workshop for the library staff. Everybody discovered extraordinary talents and inspiration while painting the cards which Tatyana Vasilievna prepared for them. Despite the lack of experience, the works were quite bright and individual. The host of the club, Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Maksimenko, told about the history of the painting and the famous masters of Petrykivka. The book exhibition “Creators of Wonderland” became an illustration of the story. The distinctive features of Petrykivka painting are flower patterns which continue the traditions of Ukrainian Baroque, a variety of coloristic and compositional solutions, and the use of various materials and techniques. Now the participants of the master class know some Petrykivka painting techniques. The meeting was held in a creative atmosphere and ended with a tea party.
