On April 27, 2018 "Women's Academy" club held a regular meeting dedicated to the art of decoupage. What is decoupage? In fact, decoupage is an applique, but this applique is special – it is lacquered and it looks like a painting. Now this ancient technique is experiencing its rebirth. Master class was conducted by Nina Alekseevna Kulik - a professional in this art. She provided materials for creative work: many different napkins, sponges and acrylic paints. The participants brought a variety of billets: boards, caskets, knife stands, jars for spices, etc. Nina Alekseevna showed her works for comparison and inspiration: bottles made in monochrome technology, caskets artificially aged with a lacquer varnish, rosettes with double-sided drawings. Inspired by the example, the club members tried to paint their items and were satisfied with the result. The meeting was held in a creative atmosphere and in a good mood.
About 20 books on the technique of painting and color harmony were presented at the exhibition dedicated to the club's meeting.
